v8ford70 98 Report post Posted December 3, 2017 My Hood had been removed & painted by previous owner.It doesn't have the J Nuts that the two bolts that hold the hinge bracket screw into.Are they a different size to the fender J Nuts.If so does anyone have the dimensions of one of the J nuts & photos. RPM 1,190 Report post Posted December 3, 2017 I'm pretty sure they're the same. The 5/16 nc bolt size definitely is the same, but some of the J nuts around the car are longer where they clip onto the panel. Quote Share this post Link to post Share on other sites
Caseyrhe 650 Report post Posted December 3, 2017 Hood bolts have a larger afixed washer too You can loop a string inside j also, that way if it slips off and tries to go inside the hood, string prevents that.
