MikeStang 247 Report post Posted June 29, 2016 Ha RPM...Im not looking to ever do it again... If I ever do get hitched again you can bet your ass everything I have will be in my name and paid for so she cant take any of it LOL. Ridge is the metal dash in the 66's welded in or is it removable like the 69? Reason I ask is cuz the guy welded in some metal to fill some holes in an attempt to smooth it out and it needs some work and would be easier to do if I could remove the metal dash frame..plus would make putting the new wiring harness in much easier LOL. MikeStang 247 Report post Posted June 29, 2016 Also .... Torque Boxes...Did the 66's come with them factory? did some get them and some not? This one doesn't appear to have one on the pass side, but cant remember if it does on the driver side or not LOL.

Rsmach1 71 Report post Posted June 29, 2016 Look at the bright side, after the first 20-30 spot welds you cut you'll feel like a pro, same goes for the plug welds lol.
MikeStang 247 Report post Posted June 29, 2016 I forgot just how good I once was after replacing upper and lower cowl, floor pans, and quarter panel on my 69... Comes back to you like riding a bike lmao
MikeStang 247 Report post Posted June 30, 2016 Need a measurement on front frame rails from outside to outside at the very front where the core support welds on LOL. Or inside to inside. Wanna be sure they have not moved... From what I can find The Outside to outside dimensions should be 34-1/4" in the very front...Is this right? Ridge Runner 1,114 Report post Posted June 30, 2016 if you have the new front cross member it should just clamp in place between the two tabs at the end of the front rails
MikeStang 247 Report post Posted June 30, 2016 yeah I know, but when I chopped the front Core support off I saw the frame rail move out a little lol...maybe 1/8" at most... Just want to be sure I squeeze it back together the right amount
