1969Fstback 58 Report post Posted January 1, 2016 I need to take both fenders off to fix some rust on them, fix an apron and install lowering spring. Where are all the bolts and whas the easiest way to remove them? Thanks
RPM 1,190 Report post Posted January 1, 2016 The easiest way is to have a friend/brother do them for you. When my brother isn't around I like to use a 3/8" air ratchet. Well, you've got 6? vertical down at the top inside edge, the easy ones. 1 horizontal forward at the upper rear, accessible above the top hinge w/the door open. 2 vertical up from below the rear lower edge, 2 vertical down? at front lower edge to the valence, 2 horizontal forward, accessible thru the front of the wheelhouse against the inner fender. There may be a bracket or 2 at the front which haven't been on my car for years. I'll do some pics if you'd like. If your fenders have been on for a while, the seal along the upper edge may be glued to the inner fender. 1 JayEstes reacted to this
1969Fstback 58 Report post Posted January 2, 2016 Thanks rpm. My brothers suggestion at 16 for his squeaky brakes was to oil them. That was 27 years ago. I doubt he's any better now with a wrench.
RPM 1,190 Report post Posted January 2, 2016 LOL! I'm blessed/lucky in that all 3 of my brothers are way smarter and more talented than me. My 2 sisters on the other hand...
