Help with seat identification

OK so I have high back seats that were in a 70 coupe My problem is none of the seat foam I have purchased ( 2 different suppliers )

fits correctly so I'm thinking maybe I have Mach1 frames?

For what its worth they did not have mach1 upholstery it was standard vinyl

 Would any one be able to identify them or have a picture of mach 1 seat back frames?

From what I have googled it looks like the standard high back frames have a wire type loop on the top of them and mine dont have this like this

Are you sure they're original to your '70? 1971-73 Mustangs had high-back buckets, as well as other cars. They could be transplanted from another car. It was not uncommon to "upgrade" your ride at the junkyard back in the day.

Can you find a tag or part number anywhere?

the 70 mach 1 and non mach 1 seat frames were the same . . the 69 is slightly different in the springs in the head rest area . . the 70 can be modified in this area to work on 69.

the 70 Mach 1 and standard seats have the same insides ,the foam is different .70 seats have the back latch in a different spot from the 69 .

The seat back release lever on the 70 seats is down at the bottom of the seat back where the 69 seats were 1/2 way down the seat back

Now that I see that seat out of the 71 I think Your on to something
