69droptopgt 10 Report post Posted December 9, 2014 Only reason it may not leak if it is supposed to be a gel cell. I know there are repop gelcell autolites out there. A lot of voltage regulators are made in china and are not that great. Even old VR would go bad after time. Going with an electronic one is the best choice. Brian Conway 264 Report post Posted December 9, 2014 I just replaced the VR on my ride yesterday. I replaced the OE unit 11 months ago with the $17.00 O'reilly electronic made in China POS.
