Tilt Away steer door switch question

Hi,I reckon i might be missing a clip or something as the hole for the tilt away steering column door jamb switch seems to big for the switch as it can slip through.Can anyone shed some light on this.Or maybe my hole has been messed with in the past,oh and i'm not talking bout my ass either..:lol: Thanks.

can you take pics? the door jamb switch should automatically clip on.

Sure,here's one.See how the bottom has no notches for the tilt away steer switch and is slightly larger.

Your hole is fine, but your missing the top part of the switch.

That is the harness clip. You need the whole switch, and look to see if the clip has two or three pins. I seem to recall the tilt switch being different than the door ajar switches

Thanks for your help everyone.Here's a couple of pics of the switch.Seems complete and your right buening they are different to the interior light switch.It might not be correct for this car so i might just order a new one and take it from there.

Was that painted black? I recall them being white.

Yes it is painted but it has a metal face opposed to the plastic ones for interior lights which i have .

I've just ordered a new one .Looks slightly different as the face is completely round where mine has 2 straight edges.See how we go.I will update when it arrives from the U.S.Thanks everyone.:thumbup1:
