-mikko- 10 Report post Posted January 27, 2014 is it originally just round hole or is its " as big as possible" to cut ? Picture would be nice...
jmlay 80 Report post Posted January 27, 2014 The standard Mach1 hood scoop would have 2 oblong holes for the turn indicators at the rear. It might have the "pie" cutouts in the center but most did not have a cutout at all in the center.: http://mustangforums.com/forum/classic-mustangs-tech/363937-how-hard-is-it-to-install-a-hood-scoop.html http://www.1969stang.com/mustang/forum/showthread.php?t=2350&page=

Chelby-Ann 47 Report post Posted January 27, 2014 Brian I took on this job lsat September whan I bought a repo hood. My car is a 69 Coupe. I transfered the pattern from the old hood onto paper. Carefully centering the pattern on the new hood, I was able to reporoduce the cutouts exact. If this is the pattern you are looking for, let me know and I can send you a copy of the pattern that I thinks I saved. If I did'nt then I can trace a new one since I have not yet bolted it to the hood. Here are some pictures to look at.
ThePoose 37 Report post Posted January 28, 2014 My Mach has the hood with those cut outs from the factory. Mine also has the factory shock tower wraps. Wrote a letter some years back to Mustang Monthly and they responded that those hoods were slated for 428CJ cars, which mine was probably going to be (what with the tower wraps), but it was pulled for a 351-4V order. I'll get a picture tonight, if you'd like.
