prayers1 153 Report post Posted July 13, 2013 The 3 chrome trim pieces around the outside of the tail light fell off. What do you use to put it back on? What did Ford use to secure it to the lens?
tim42 13 Report post Posted July 13, 2013 I don't know exactly what Ford used but on mine it was some sort of black rubbery stuff. Just clean it off the lens and the trim and use some RTV, I don't recommend using anything like silicone caulk that will dry solid.
BuckeyeDemon 211 Report post Posted July 13, 2013 i think i cut little strips of double sided tape (like what you would use to attach moldings with). those pieces are stainless and can be polished.

Kris 90 Report post Posted July 14, 2013 I was told by an old ford mechanic that it was the same glue they used on the 69 glue in windows.
harlan69mach 21 Report post Posted July 14, 2013 Since it takes such a small amount a friend in a body shop loaned me a tube of what they use for trim. It was a 3M product but that's all I remember.
