gnatsum 12 Report post Posted June 12, 2013 My engine mounts wouldn't line up, so I had to remove the top bolt on each mount bracket so they could rotate and allow the mounts to bolt up. Any thoughts?

Pretty common way to install them, for me anyway. It sounds like you got them installed, right? Bob

gnatsum 12 Report post Posted June 13, 2013 I have also seen where guys have welded the bracket at an angle if the bracket bolt didn't line up. I may try that. Not sure why it didn't line up. Thought maybe I had the wrong mounts, and I tried two other pairs of mounts with even worse alignment.
RPM 1,190 Report post Posted June 13, 2013 With my car, neither bolt holes nor fixed points are symmetrical side to side. I bought my 69 in 1989, and I am just now getting use to it. Bob
