Edelbrock Or Milodon Water Pump?

I've been considering a high volume water pump for my 69 351 windsor and I've noticed that the Milodon pump is about 1/2 the price of the Edelbrock.

 

The Edelbrock is about $190. and the Milodon is $90.

 

I consider both names as pretty reputable in the performance parts business.

 

Can anyone tell me if theres a reason to go with the more expensive Edelbrock?

After talking to Summit who sells both I've decided to go with the Milodon Water Pump. After talking to the Tech he said most Drag Strip Racers prefer the Milodon. The Milodon casting is made in Japan which I have NO problem with. The Edelbrock is USA but has to comply with EPA that contributes to the $$$. Enough Said! Kingfish (Steve).

Fwiw, my brother and I both bought the Milodon. Never considered the Edelbock.

FlowKooler on the Cuda, Milodon on the Mach 1

I broke my FlowKooler and thought I'd go with a "nicer" pump and go with an Edelbock. Installed the Edelbock and the car started running hotter, removed that and went back to the FlowKooker.
