69 coupe quarter window question

Simply: Is the 69 coupe back quarter window supposed to roll "all the way down" (so the window completely hides inside the body)?

 

I probably should know this, but as long as I can remember, they only go down about half way, and then seem to seriously bind. It's a gradual bind - never seems to "bottom out", but both sides do it the same.

 

Reason I ask is I've never been in there, and I am about to go in to refurbish, and I want to have the right expectations.

on mine they went all the way down, check it out and adjust the rails if need be

I have had 1 69, 1 70, &1 68 Coupe & currently have a 69 Coupe & all of the quarter windows have rolled all the way down.

Mines a vert (but windows, regulators, etc) should be the same- and they go all the way down. Not even a 1/4" is left exposed.

Thanks guys - that's a lot of helpful feedback. Thought so. I got the interior panels off today, and will dive in there soon to see if I can figure out why they bind so badly. There is certainly room for them to go completely down in there. It will be nice to have this back in the correct working order....

 

PS: RW, that's a beautiful coupe!
