Rear Shock Removal?

I have a 69 Mach 1 and am getting ready to redo the suspension and wanted to know if the rear shock absorbers are accessed through the trunk or do I have to remove the rear seat to get to them? thanks.

If I remember correctly off the top of my head it is accessed behind the rear seat. Right at the top of the hump on the floor above the rear end.

It's been years since I did mine and I had the seat out, but I'm pretty sure you can get to 'em with the seat in. There should be rubber plugs sealing the holes to the Shocks. And they should be just where t70stang says they are.

I have a fold down rear seat, does this access still hold true?

Underneath the rear seat back are a couple of access holes. If I recall, you only need to remove the flat panel toward the back.

the plugs are under the section of floor behind the rear seat in this case.

Here are a couple of pics of my 69 Fastback showing the Rubber Grommets covering the Shock access holes. Hope they help.
