Daves69Coupe 10 Report post Posted September 21, 2011 So I noticed I was missing my temperature sending unit for my manifold. Where is the proper location for this in the manifold. The 1 pic I found showed the switch in the corner of manifold by the dizzy but I though it would go closer to the thermostat on the manifold.
danno 128 Report post Posted September 21, 2011 On my 302 it is in the corner by the dist. It will be wherever the threads are for mounting it, unless you have to drill and tap a new hole for it?
Big Secz 26 Report post Posted September 21, 2011 Judging by the picture it would appear it would be right behind the thermostat. It looks like you have a threaded plug there now. Like Danno, on my 302 it's on the driver's side by the distributor, but I don't see a threaded holde for it. The question would be where you would hook up your hearter hoses. Daves69Coupe 10 Report post Posted September 21, 2011 ah ok I see now, the heater hose connection goes behind the stat and temp switch by dizzy
buening 63 Report post Posted September 21, 2011 I've typically installed the temp sending unit on the drivers side front corner. The gauge feed harness typically runs along the drivers side valve cover, and am not sure the temp harness lead will reach to the passenger side. The coil, temp sending unit, and oil pressure sending unit are typically all on the drivers side from my experience.
