prayers1 153 Report post Posted September 4, 2011 I'm looking to buy the clock cluster panel, but everytime I look, especially on eBay the colors look so different even though they say either Walnut or Teak. Here's a picture of my woodgrain cluster panel. The picture makes it look more redish, even better then what I actually have. Mine is lighter towards a very light Walnut and sometimes I think it looks like a faded Teak. On the back it reads: C9ZF-10A861 L-4982, I Googled that number and all that comes up is an eBay item "TEAK". What do you think it is?
Big Secz 26 Report post Posted September 4, 2011 That would be the most common color which is walnut. Teak is more of a lighter tan color. To add to the confusion sometimes they are simply referred to as dark teak and light teak. The light teak is harder to find because they were only used in early '69. After that all the rest of '69 and '70 used walnut.
prayers1 153 Report post Posted September 4, 2011 I have another woodgrain cluster panel which is below. As you can see, it is darker and looks more like the walnut color. However, the cast number is the same as the picture above. I'm assuming that since the casting numbers are the same, the lighter one has been exposed to the sun longer. I'm just guessing! That's why I made this post. I really like the lighter one but if I do buy a Teak panel it may not match. I so confussed!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

prayers1 153 Report post Posted September 4, 2011 That would be great, but my car had the standard interior. Thank you for the suggestion!
BuckeyeDemon 211 Report post Posted September 4, 2011 looks like walnut to me.
miketyler 15 Report post Posted September 4, 2011 I think this resembles the teak better. The lower lip shows what the actual color looked like as the face sufaces seems to have lightened up some.
prayers1 153 Report post Posted September 4, 2011 I would have to agree. Mine is WALNUT. If I purchase a walnut dash clock assembly, I guess I would be safe since I have 2 Walnut variations. Thanks for everyones input! Does anyone have the clock & cluster WALNUT panel for sale!!!!!!!!!!!!!
