No dash lights

Recommended Posts

Hello everyone,

I needed a bit of advise here. I am starting the reassembly of my '69 coupe with the 200 6 cylinder. The engine is out of the car being rebuilt and the front end is off the car (fenders, grill, headlights, turn signals, etc.). I just finished the interior and hooked up a battery to test everything on the inside before I buttoned it up. Here is the problem/question. My clock, dome light, and under dash courtesy lights work and with the key in the accessory position the wipers, blower motor, fuel gauge, and hide-a-way radio all operate. The problem is no dash lights. Before I go crazy trying to test every connection, is there something very obvious here? Do I need the headlights/turn signals in? Engine with ground strap? any help?

Thanks,

Steve
