rusty428cj 14 Report post Posted May 27, 2008 I raced my Mustang in SS/GA Sunday. The last time I raced Super Stock was 1974. The track was tricky and during time runs spun and went sideways 7.62 First time run missing at high RPM's and spun off the line 7.34 Second time run retarded the timing still missing and spun Index is 7.00 7.05 Won first round of eliminations it hooked competition broke out 7.11 Won second round hooked but went sideways competition broke out 7.00 Won third round picking the wheels up about 18" competition broke out 6.96 Lost I broke out. This was the first race of the new Southern Super Stock/Stock Circuit and we had 28 cars and it was down to 4 when I lost. I had broken teeth on the flexplate and it would not have started for the final we pushed it in the trailer. Quote Share this post Link to post Share on other sites

Rusty, good showing, sorry to hear about the loss and the broken teeth though. it's great to see that old warhorse run again though. good job for not keeping it in a museum or something. in fact i was just bragging about you and your car in a thread on the cougar board i visit.
