well, this is a rare Mach 1 Coupe afterall. Besides, it's only all the body panels except the hood that need to be replaced and it does come with that fancy emergency kit. Who doesn't restore an entire car from the inside out and leave the bodywork for last nowadays anyway, that's the new hip thing.:tongue_smilie:

 

Very wise of them to make it a private auction too, it will save the person who wins from alot of embarassment.

Hard to believe someone would put $20,000 into a car and not do paint or body work. Looks like it could be a sweet deal for a paint and body shop guy.

 

As one of over 72,000 1969 Mach 1's built that year and most came with 351-2V's they are not that rare. The price should not go much higher and actually may be too high now considering the body rot.

Those "things" would be called aftermarket bolt-ons. Every bit as fun as OEMs, but more expensive.
