hood latch support brace

I need a new hood latch support brace, I've tried cjponyparts, npd, dallas and california mustang with no luck for a 69, every other year is available, anyone know where you can get a new one at?

have you checked with mustangs unlimited? i'm pretty sure they carry them

nope. none there either. Also tried a used mustang parts place out here, no luck. Guess I'll keep my old one for now, glad I didn't throw it away. If anyone runs across one for a 69, let me know please. Everyone has them for the other years up to 68 and 71 and above but not for the 69.

If anyone has a chance to look at their bracket and tell me what angle the bottom tab that bolts to the lower valance is I would appreciate it, mine has been crammed upwards and if I have to I will straighten and do a little welding since the edges are splitting, thanks.

it should be about 90 degrees

I have seen them on Ebay from time to time used, looked like good condition to.

 

It is a pain sorting through all the other parts to find what you need, but it could be worth it.

I usually just search 1969 mustang and start going through the pages.

I'd have to check the condition of the one on my parts car but it is one of those things I won't be using in my resto and would be parting out eventually.
