Vicfreg 773 Report post Posted January 13 I’m nearly ready to install my console, it has the Shelby gauge pod installed on it. I have an automatic transmission, and I would like to install the console fully assembled. It’s a pretty tight fit trying to get the console over the automatic shifter. Any lessons learned or suggestions would be helpful!! Vic
Brian Conway 264 Report post Posted January 13 If your car had a console originally ? The original mounting screw locations can be viewed from the under the car in the tunnel. Careful to avoid the brake line. Take the seats out. Brian
BobW70Mach1 28 Report post Posted January 14 I assume you have already removed the shifter handle? 2 TexasEd and Brian Conway reacted to this
TexasEd 190 Report post Posted January 16 Yes, I was going to say remove the shifter handle, you may also want to put chocks under the wheels, parking brake on and then shift it to D. Then take off the T part of the handle, don't let the button fall out.
