  1. Hey all, I'm restoring a '69 Mach 1, and I think I am being taken advantage of by my body shop. The following items have been replaced, what would be a ball park labor cost for the replacement of these parts? I know that labor rates differ by region, so I'm asking how many hours of labor would be reasonable to replace the following? Full floor pan both rear frame rails both rear torque boxes both front toe boards full trunk floor partial front frame rail battery apron
  2. Pak What program are you using to make the animated gif's with?
  3. Hey guy's if you have the budget, why not the Dynacorn, I'll bet that it is put together better than the original. Read the Hot Rod article on their 67/68 fastback, they use heavier gauge steel and modern manufacturing techniques. I went a different way, I bought a roller that needs everything, I will have 17k into it after all of the paint and body is completed. I wanted to save a car from the scrap yard and basterdize 8) it the way that I wanted it. In the end, to make either car really nice your going to have to invest some serious cash.
  4. I've been thinking about using fold down trim panels without the fold down seat. Simplyj hit it right on the head, without the seat installed there is plenty of room for storage or stereo equipment. Basically you get the fold down look without the expense of the seat and hardware. Ken
  5. Go here and download the PDF file for the 1969 Mustang wiring harness, it will show you what you need to do to run the factory tach. http://store.summitracing.com/partdetail.asp?part=PRF-20122&view=1&N=700+150+400012+
  6. James Congrats, on finishing the car in time! Technically I have never installed these decals before, but I want to try and steer you in the right direction. Most people put the decals on incorrectly by asumming that the decal is supposed to be straight, when it is not. The part of the decal that runs from the rear of the wheel opening to the rear marker light, should angle up towards the Marker light. Do a Google search to find the exact placement of the decal, probably one of the better known Mustang restorers would be able to answer the exact placement of the decal. Im going to guess that the part of the decal between the fenders should be 4"-4.5" from the crease along the body line, but that's just a guess.....good luck! Ken
