  1. I have them and the shelby mod and got a great drop along with mid-eye leafs in the rear. I couldn't tell you what the drop is because I did it 15 years ago. I have no idea what it was prior. I'm guessing I have 2-3 inches total drop in the front.
  2. Are you connected to the correct hole on the throttle linkage bracket that is on the driver's side of the car? I think it's supposed to be 3rd from the bottom??? Maybe that is affecting how things are working. I wish like heck I could remember what caused the exact same thing with my car about 10 years ago. Mine is a 302 2bbl with auto as well. It couldn't have been much because I don't remember doing any major repairs.
  3. Those are cheating. Show us the ones you made. Though I have to admit, showing the rearend of the car was pretty good!
  4. Can you guess which one I did?
  5. Mustang Monthly did an article earlier this year or last year using a 69 and tried different bullitt wheel/tire combos. I'll try to find the issue so you can research it.
  6. For years I've been toting around a chin spoiler. I don't know if it's original or not, though I'm sure I can find out if I go look at it. It will certainly need repainting but it is in good shape. I'll send pics if anyone is interested. I'll take any fair offers as I don't even remember what I paid for it. Shipping might be expensive due to the length of it.
  7. Did you see the stop light on the floor next to it? Good grief!!!
  8. I looked through the site a bit more carefully and actually couldn't find it. Like bnickel said, it's the bullet style. They have it in 14ga, just not 12ga. I'm surprised how hard this is. I did email them to see if they have it though. The site states not everything is listed online. I probably should try O'Rielly's as well. I just figured if Autozone, NAPA, Radio Shack, big and small hardware stores don't have it I should try something new.
  9. YES! Thanks! Now, how come I couldn't find that?! More importantly, why doesn't anyone sell it local in the correct size? Thanks for the link.
  10. I've tried all those places. I really have no other ideas.
  11. I need the little male butt (I do believe that's the correct name :asshole:) connector that connects the power wire from the a/c compressor to the feed wire in the engine. I know I could just permanently tie them together, but that isn't correct. I believe the wire is 12ga and all I can find is 14ga or smaller. I've looked at Radio Shack, NAPA, Autozone and the local hardware stores (big and small). Thanks~
  12. I have the old 3 way adjustable style on mine. I have them set to the softest and the ride is pretty stiff. Of course, the car is lowered, has poly bushings and all that stuff so I'm sure that doesn't help things.
  13. I was able to find a diagram and actual picture in the classic air website. The part is called a micro switch (#16-143). The rotary vacuum switch (#3-110) rotates and depresses the micro switch when the selector lever is placed on fresh or max a/c.
  14. It looks like the issue is a switch behind the control panel. I cannot find the name of the switch and so far have been unlucky finding it in the parts catalogs. According to the diagram I have, the control lever that adjusts the system from defrost/heater/off/air conditioning is connected to a cog type wheel called a vacuum regulator. On the drivers side of this wheel there is a switch with two wires coming off it. The little white switch is depressed when the selector is moved to the air conditioner settings. I was able to get the clutch to engage a few times when a manually pressed in this switch with a screw driver, though not every time. I think it may be a bit corroded inside. Does anyone know what this switch is called and where I can find one?
  15. I did a direct connect to the battery and the clutch worked. So, now I have to figure out why I'm not getting enough power from the lead out of the firewall!!! I have no idea where that wire goes. I'm assuming the a/c portion of the control panel is working fine since it did before. Ugh...anyone know where an electrical schematic for the a/c system can be found...besides my lost shop manuals?
  16. The electical system is one area I'm not good at. How do I do that?
  17. Hopefully, this will be my last question about this little R-12 to 134a project. So, I'm all complete but now the clutch on the sanden compressor doesn't seem to work. I tested the power source with my little test light and I get a very weak glow. I tested at the connection between the compressor and power wire as well as where the wire plugs in at the firewall. Do you think the clutch is not getting enough power? If so, I have no idea how to remedy the issue. Other ideas? The system worked fine previously. Help please!
  18. I don't have a collection, but my son seems to have every car from the movie Cars. Does that count? :)
  19. Since I still can't find my shop manuals, could someone tell me the specs for the bolt that goes in the location of the yellow circle? This is for a 302. Thanks.
  20. I have a repo idler and bracket. PM me if interested. What cramer said is correct, but there is also one small fixed pulley underneath the a/c pulley. You could get away without it though. See this thread http://www.1969stang.com/mustang/forum/showthread.php?t=4893
  21. Wish I could help you with the windows. That's one of the things I want to do some day. I had to reglue mine about 15 years ago and I still don't like them. Thanks again for the pics. I've had my front end apart for awhile and couldn't remember how the pulleys went on nor the belt routing. I converted to a sanden compressor and 134a so it wasn't exactly stock. The alignment of the compressor was killing me. For the life of me I couldn't figure out where the non-adjustable pulley went. I knew by the bracket it was somewhere in that area, but couldn't figure it out without the stock setup.
  22. Those are great! Just what I've been looking for. Thanks! Do you remember how the belt that goes around that little pulley under the a/c was routed? Is that part of the a/c belt routing?
  23. Dang! That's a lot of pictures. I've never seen the accesories painted blue before. Unfortunately, there isn't a/c on that car and that is part of what I need to see. This wouldn't be an issue if I could find my shop manuals. I have no idea where I put them...so I could find them again!
  24. I've searched the forums and gallery and cannot find what I'm looking for. I need a couple of pictures of the front end of a stock 302 with ps and a/c. I need it to show the belts and all the pulleys/brackets. Thanks!
