  1. It's electric life kit I bought them on feebay at a lot better price then their web site and I am using the door switches that use the window cranks so it looks all stock like you have to crank the window but once you push up or down on the crank it's the switch to the motor, which I bought those from summit, at a lot better price as well, we have the driver door done and those motors are quick to raise and lower the glass alot faster than I expected, you could loose a finger in one LOL.
  2. I ordered the flanges to make my own, but I will call theese guys tormarrow to see what they say, thanks alot guys Ill let you know what I come up with
  3. hood scoop on side mirrors on airride in and hooked up lower dash in and column all brakes are done stainless lines boster and master in did not get pics but power windows are in and dynomat in doors
  4. he had some for that motor and car but could not guarantee on the heidits front suspention it would be a crap shoot, which i already did on the fox long tubes and they dont work they hit the upper control arms, looks like ill be building custom headers, thanks for the input though I tried!!
  5. has anyone done or know of headers for 351w in a 69/70 with trickflow r heads, they have the staggered bolts I tried a set of fox long tubes but they hit the frame rails I have the heidits susp. but that frees up space I am trying to find short or mid tubes to tuck the exsauhst under the car, I called headman with no luck they said id have to make my own
  6. rwcstang the paint is from a volkswagen they have used it for a while its called reflex silver, has alot of shine in the sunlight most silver is kinda flat or dull not much reflection not this one!!!! squidz love your car glad to see another coupe I have seen your car in a few other post as well dont see to many nice pro-tour 70 coupes. nice burn out . what kind of motor and times are you running in quarter.
  7. i think thats what i am going to do it use a new stock tank and add that ron morris piece and use the external fuel pump , I have looked around and you can get a reasonable tank from tanks inc but its only 16 gal, i want to use my 22 gal, I plan on driving the car and making some trips so want the extra fuel, Ive heard the pumps can be loud but I dont think it will bother me to hear some humm, after it starts up I dont think you could hear it anyway !!
  8. stangme thanks for the encouragement I glad you like it, we put in the hydo clutch like you did I did not get pics of it I forgot but we could not get engagement so we called modern driveline and he said that they have had problems with the setup, the bore size of the master is to small to engage the cluch so they are sending out another one, so you might want to check yours and make sure you dont need it also , let me know how it comes out, and congrats on the motor install I like the valve covers those are cool!!!
  9. there is a blue light behind the projector then there is a small blue bulb there in the bottom, I am going to hook up the small one to the fog lights I think it will look like the bmw where there is a light just around the rim when the fog is on then the headlight will be like a projector beam with a blue color to it I think it will look good against the silver, its all sealed in to the light.
  10. sorry that last pic had some bad lighting reflextion
  11. inside painted starting to put some stuff together
  12. any one know of a good way to convert the tank, or someone that makes a tank with an internal pump and some an fittings to plumb to, I looked at fuelsafe and 12 to 1400 is a little steep to me for a fuel tank.
  13. mine has air ride, not sure of the one in the pics I posted thats not mine.
  14. Im building one which I have a tread in this forum , there is a pic of a blue one there that is a member of the site and here is another one thats pretty nice I like it anyway not sure I think he was a former member i got the pic off of craigslist a while back as it was for sale and ur right there arent many 70 coupes being done pro touring or even being done that I see good luck with yours and post some pics when you get time
  15. the billet is nice but high, I used reman and there not bad, better than some of the other reman parts, like hoods door hinges, glass, trim the list goes on , I would think if the reman people want to sell the stuff why not make it right, if its worth doing at all I would
  16. I have a hobart as well and it works great I got it off the web at a discount, one thing I would look at is, can you get parts local, all the welding places around here only cary parts for the top name brands like miller, which you dont usually need stuff but when you break a gun or a tip I have to order it, and it is gas shield which is worth it , you get to much splatter with flux core.
  17. you can see in the build section my pics, one has the location of the original hole for the auto trans we took out very little from the back side (towards the rear of car) like 1/2 inch give or take. I dont have the cluch setup on mine yet the trans is in with the motor but havent gotten that far so dont have pics of that yet maybe stangme does stangme I bet he told you the same thing you are the first to have it ha, let me know how yours comes out if you have it up and going before i do!!
  18. I have the tko 600 in mine and used www.moderndriveline.com mine was a auto first so needed some extra stuff, but it fits with very little mods, I think we ground out some of the shifter hole on the back side but it was very minimum, it also depends on your horse power which one you would need the 5 or 6 but call those guys up they are very knowlegeable and just came out with a hydrolic setup for our cars he said I was the first to get a production one and wants feed back on the install, good luck
  19. progress car is painted It's very cloudy about to rain so the pics dont do the paint justice ill have more later has good shine to it , came out flawless, very happy with it
  20. stangme I was looking at the yearone site at that same bezel and it looks like in the picture there is a place in the middle cut out for turn indicators , just wonding cause i dont see it on your ??
  21. If I had to guess ups denied the claim b/c they did not pack it and yall did not pay the extra cash (which is very high) for them to do it, that being said he did not send you a broke dash or did not pack it tight enough on purpose, so the shoe could have been on the other foot just as easy, If it were me I would try to lean on ups again maybe some upper mgmt. if that dosent work then I would split the cost with him, b/c he is out just like you are from something 3 party, just a scenario what if your money order to him got lost and you had no recipt but you sent it, sure would be nice on his part if he would split that with you even though it wasnt his fault. and these are just my thoughts I try and put myself on the other side also when im in question. my opinion is prob. worth exacly what you paid for it (nothing) but hope that helps!!
  22. a few pics before it goes to paint they are sanding 1000 grit to get it slick, with the silver paint it shows any flaws door gaps came out very nice
  23. thanks for that info cphsonic we havent tried it yet but i have a 4150 style tb looks like a carb, from fast fuel injection, so we will see it it dosent work then that might be our only option
  24. ok motor painted charcoal grey and in the car with trans hooked up I am not using the tb intake it doesnt work hood wont clear prob. wont use these valve covers either
