  3. Thanks guys for all the compliments, the front tires are 245/40/18 on 8 inch wheels, I have had alot of mufflers in the past but I really love the pypes violators they have a nice crackle to them at idle then open up at speed but dont have the drone like some mufflers do. here is a link to a vid. my son took hopefully you can hear the pypes!! http://imageshack.us/clip/my-videos/585/sqf.mp4/
  4. Here are some finished pics, havent posted in a while my computer crashed and having to get all my pics out of the old one...the willwood master came from summit racing the boster is stock, the calipers were taken apart and powder coated, the car runs great I posted a dyno tune vid at the end of the last pic it put out about 420 to the rear wheel and was still pulling but did not want to hurt the motor mike murrillo is a wizzard on fast fuel injection , just got a/c running and it blows 40deg out the vents, very fun to drive, doug did a great job nothing but quality work comes from his shop and he is very knowlegable and can help with alot of built questions, shoot him a message if yall need anything!!

  6. Thanks for all the responses, its a sn 95 mustang 5.0 front setup with a stock sn water pump, everything is new, pretty sure the lower hose is not collapsing but ill check, does not have a overflow just runs on ground but never have seen it run out, I think what ill do it put a new t-stat and run a little less anti-freeze Im told water is what cools the anti-freeze is just that plus corrosion inhibitor, I might run some 40 below or watter wetter as well, then try and get a little more air flow. It dosent over heat every time just very hot days the most it got up to was 210 but I just dont like it like that, that was about 45 min. of constant driving. thanks again and ill post my findings.

  8. my car keeps overheating while driving, at idle it will cool back down, I posted on another stang forum and general idea is the radiator is just sitting out in the middle of nowhere and all the air is going around it,they are telling me it needs an airdam to direct the air into the rad. has anyone had this prob. I am thinking the rad. is to small for the 427w

  10. I always have thought about your same situation about mine as well, years back there was a article in a mustang magazine that answered my question. What is your long term goal with the car?? If your going to sell it in the near future or somewhere down the road I would not hack it up to bad if at all, if you have no plans on selling it and want it the way you like it by all means do what you want to it and sense it's already somewhat molested it wouln't be as bad. I am 36 have had my car sense I was 15 I don't ever say never but I have no plans to ever sell my car (my kids may after I die) and thats fine!! so I built it the way I like it pro-tour and love it every day I have time to get out and drive it!! hope that helps some
  11. angel I thought your car looks good as is dosent need alot of work, I like the stance. jayru the door panels are stock replacement, and matt thomas at thomas upholstery did the consol and classic collision did the paint on it both here in Bryan Texas, I will try and get some better interior pics and some trunk pics, I am supposed to get the car back this week so I can build the exsaust for it, never done it before but have a friend to help that has, so hopefully we can tackle it, its going to be all stainless mandrel bent!!
  12. Angel thanks I like that pic to, the rear tire/wheel is a 10in wheel with a 275/40/18 tire. we orig. tried to put a 295 tire for mock up but it was way to big, but now that the 275 is mounted it looks like there is room for a 295, its fine for now but I think after I wear them out I'm going to try the 295, it would give it a more squared off tire, right now its a little rounded from the wheel to the top of tread!!
  13. wheels finaly showed up it took 4 months to get them, I had them ceramicoated and they turned out like crap so had to have them stripped repolished then recoated!! airride all the way up now laid all the way out Uploaded with ImageShack.us
  14. It's been a while, I have run into a few problems with the wheels and so on, but it looks like I am getting back on track!! ok working on the interior!! had to move the airride to the trunk to make room for the sub Uploaded with ImageShack.us
  15. I use to use it in my 12.6 to 1 306 , it was a cheaper alternative to actual race fuel and if works pretty good, the only problem I had was it ran alot drier, it did not lube well, my holley blue pumps would sieze up and have to take them apart to oil them, so I would run a little diesel or 2 cycle oil with it , once I spilled some and it evaporates alot faster than gas..
  16. just wondering if anyone from this board it going to good guys ft.worth texas in october if so anyone bringing their cars? I am trying to get mine ready in time for that show..

  18. bnickle I just wanted to be clear, I am not bashing the car for what it is , my car is what it is, just like yours and anyone elses here, I love them all, to be honest no matter if its a over the top build with mega money of if its a teenagers first car and needs lots of work, but like I stated before and like jayru said it's deff. not a mag. feature front page car, I think there are alot better deserving cars out there where somebody has but the time and effort into a car to do it right that deserve a cover feature.
  19. with that being said on streetkings car I see no way a 295 would fit unless its been mini tubed or modified somehow , mine is not hitting on suspension sense I have a 4 link and airbags, but it hits on the inner structure of the car , you might be able to fit that tire if you did not tuck it in the finder but in that pic it is, so not sure how that worked for him,
  20. I have a 70 coupe and measured it with a 10 inch wheel we tried a 295/18 tire and it does not fit at all, I dont know if the fastbacks are different but the widest on we could get under was a 275 40 18 on a 10 in. wheel
  21. has anyone used waterwetter, I have heard that it does work, just add to your coolant and it will lower your temp ??
  22. 69shelby I have a 70coupe and maybe thats why I picked on it, I like seeing a coupe on the front page ,and the interior is not to my liking but i guess he liked it but if your going to build a car and put that much effort in to it do it right, the door glass to quarter glass dosent look like it lines up the engine bay looks terrible look close at the firewall. look at the plug wires just thrown in, look under the fender wells, by the pinch welds on bottom, look at rear window trim , like I said earlier its your car make it how you want it, just take a little more time and effort or I dont think it should be a mag, layout car ,
  23. I hope I dont piss off anyone here if its a forum members ride, but just read the new modified mustang mag, and on the front cover inside front cover and a full layout inside is a 70 coupe thats is a nice car but deff. not a front cover or feature car. I have seen nicer cars in the back of the mag where they have readers roundup, why dont they feature some of those cars. just my opinion but there are some nicer cars out there. what do you guys think??
  24. your right, like I said if it can be taken apart I would, most people would have not powder coated brake calipers b/c of the rubber seals in them, most you see are painted ,but I had mine disassembled and powder coated which cost about 360 to have done but the attention is in the detail, and most people would not notice but I look for things like that.
  25. attention to detail, it will pay off later (I like it) just my opinon but on like those roller perches I think I would powder coat them, in fact if its possible I would powder coat most things I know you cant do everthing especially interior stuff but under hood and on chassis if it can be taken apart to be done I would, that way you should be good for a long time. on the paint I always like the cast coat alum. I have some in the garage I use time to time, the powder coat colors I like are called chrome which is a lighter silver or silver sparkle they both look good . good luck and your project looks amazing Ill see it in a feature mag one day!!
