No problems at all lately ,and i can post pics from my very own browser .Spammers are getting through though .

I have got to get a milling machine .I have a small lathe but the auto feed quit ,not sure what happened .I guess i will have to take it apart . Have a decent drill press ,and a harbor freight horizontal band saw that works decent . What i want now is a nibbler that will cut 1/8th plate steel . I had a chance to get one but it was sold out from under me ..A nice metal cutting upright band saw would be nice also .

OOOOOOH ! What is it about buying tools that is sooo o o exciting ?I just got back from Harbor freight .I bought two air assist jacks ,they had them in stock, One for my bender and one for my cherry picker I already played with them LOL. I bought a new 4 inch electric grinder ,burned up my old one . I bought the trolley for the A frame /gantry crane ,the gantry crane was sold out .Thats ok because they have one coming in Wednesday ...IT's mine so stay away ... I bought a 2000 lb winch for the gantry crane ,could of bought a lighter weight one ...but what sissy would do that ? I will be going back Wednesday or Thursday ,still have some money left and i may spend that too!

I am headed to HF tomorrow .I am going to get that A frame /gantry crane ,the 2000 lb electric hoist and remote ,and an air assist jack .Although they will probably have to order the jack. who knows, i may spend some more money ...I won $1500. at Eagle mountain casino Thursday night .I can pay the winnings in taxes at the end of the year or i can buy tools now and write them off .

that jack looks like it has the foot pedal air assist ,i think Harbor freight sells those as well . Fab up a couple and i will buy a set from you .

Hum ! 69 fiberglass fenders ...with the headlight buckets molded in ??? Would be a pain in the butt to lay up though.

i think they take quite a bit of pressure to bend 1 3/4 tube ,i have to work at it to bend with the leaver .I would like to build a table to mount mine on and put the hydraulics under the table .Harbor Freight sells the pump with canister , and foot pedal to make it hands free . Come to think of it ... the pump is electric with a push button ,so no foot pedal is needed

Yea ,check out race-dezert.com in the tools for sale section ,he sells the brackets and you supply the ram . It doesn't look like he has an add listed to day ,but keep checking he should post again.

Believe it or not ,that cheapy tube notcher from Harbor Freight works decent ...unless you happen to let the saw hook up .I build a full roll cage in a 65 fast back with one . I bought the Pro tools bender but it looks identical to the one you have .I want to go hydraulic with mine ,i have seen a kit to use a cherry picker jack and a foot pedal . You used to build carts ? Have i got a project for you .It is a Daytona go cart ,8 feet long 40 inches wide .I want to use a two stroke water cooled dirt bike motor with electric start .it will have to have the motor off set and an idler sprocket to fit inside .I also want to go full independent suspension .I can build the frame ,the sprocket shafts and axle shaft will have to be machined .

I will have to remember aluminum radiators may pose a problem . How much taller is it do you think?

Definitely use the catalyst ,it also acts as a binder between the paint and the primer /sealer .Also helps the Clear bond as well . Nason is about the only paint we can get in Cali.that is not water base now . I used to use Centari strictly .When it was catalysed ,and the proper primer sealer was used ,that was a very tough and long lasting paint .Stupid EPA!!

Yep ! It has been one pain in the butt after another ,the hood was the easy part .It is everything after that has been a big pain .

The Shelbys just had the screens on the openings . I don't think you could do any thing to keep it from getting copied ,it is actually a copy its self with minor differences .It will be copied ,I will just keep making mine with the best materials, and heavy duty . The center Ram air scoop does have a drain hole that should be drilled just behind the scoop in the ram air chamber ,if you look at the bottom of the scoop where it is bonded to the ram air chamber you will see a dimple .DONT DRILL THAT DIMPLE, the new one should be drilled Farther back towards the air cleaner opening so it will be behind the top scoop and allow the ram air chamber to not hold water . I moved the top back farther than the Shelby hood so the hole needs to be drilled farther back Should be about 5/8 inch back from the dimple .

No gasket ,the scoop just bolts directly to the hood . The original screens were just bonded to the scoop openings from the back side ,i was thinking windshield glue ,like the front window would use .A small bead and press the screens into the glue and let it dry .Most auto paint suppliers have small epoxy syringe with a two part epoxy that should work as well .

Epoxy is hard to sand ,but if you knock the top off with 180 grit then it isn't so bad to sand .I like the Nason primer for blocking as well ,it wet sands like butter .

Well, i got to use one of my new boxes today .When i tried to fold the card board ...it friggen broke like dry wall . Waited all that time for it to get here and it is useless .It is so brittle i think you could push out a chunk with your finger . Must be some kind of Tiwan crap ,or made in China . Some days you just can't win ! I guess i will have to learn how to make my own cardboard . I can tell you this ...i will never use that box company again !
