We use U-Pol weld thru primer with any welding. If you weld 2 pieces of bare metal together all the Epoxy primer and seam sealer in the world won't keep it from rusting. The trick is say for plug welding is to scratch off the area your going to weld and it welds perfect.

The crown is so slight now, that it could easily be blocked out with a person didn't want it.

Yes, some one to photoshop it would be great. I think I could take a cut wheel and cut the crown out, then bond a new piece of metal from the underside. This would now become a plug for sure.

I'm thinking of taking out the original 69 wide crown in the front, then just put a smaller one in its place. Opinions on that ?

The 2017 hood scoop actually has a slight crown in it, it will show up more when we do the black Epoxy.

I was thinking the same thing. I think it just needs a small center crown like a 67-68.

It's just about ready for the underside. Going to block the hood and put it in black Epoxy tomorrow to high light it. We will probably end up making a fiberglass mold because it weighs a ton LOL. I wouldn't mind some feedback on the hood.

2400.00 with an extra quart. I plan on making up 2 quarts of some regular orange for the base to make sure I have enough.

Keep in mind your Boss intake is an inch and a half taller than with a supercharger. Our IFS sits lower the the rest, which means no modification to the firewall or tunnel.
