the part number on the back starts with C8OE which is 1968 torino/fairlane. the one shown on hubcaps.com does not have the FORD printed in the center, and is actually the ford accessory hubcap sold 68-71. it would work i suppose, but its not exact.

thanks! i have done the concours thing for quite a few years with torinos, and now i am having fun trying new things and aftermarket goodies. if it doesnt look good, it can be undone

turn signals would be cool too! would be cool if someone made a bolt in running lightled kit for there, might be up to us to fabricate something

the 2013 mustangs in my opinion have the 1970 look in the headlight area with the two horizontal lines next to the headlight. i keep thinging i want to do something with LEDs to replicate the 2013 looks in a 1970. anybody agree or am i off base here?

I finally got the nine inch i have been working on back together. 3.89 31 spline traction lock. bought the rebuild stuff from Yukon gear. i used the Rotunda ford pinion depth tool kit from work. it worked slick and no need to take the pinion support out and swap shims. it tells you the right one to use the first time. someday when i get time, i will install it along with the rear disc brake kit i bought ...

this car showed up at our shop, needed an alignment done. pretty stock looking, older restoration. M code, but has a 351c 4v installed. originally a four speed car, and thankfully still has that. black interior. older guy, owns it ( arent we all?) has had it since mid 80's

short history of the car, 1970 H code mach 1 . 42k original miles. i bought it with global west suspension already installed, speed Tremec and disc brakes. and warmed over 351w. i took the cowl panel out, and got it repainted, its was peeling badly from a poor prior repaint. i was able to fix a damaged RH wiper pivot in the process. also have had the grill out for some time, detailing and painting behind there, horns, etc. I bought the correct silver-grey metallic paint for the grill and reprayed that. i dont think the grill has ever been out before! i also swapped the clear sport lamp lenses for maverick amber ones. installed halogen headlamps with replaceable H4 bulbs too. been busy! now its time to drive

Running an engine with a smaller carb - more fuel efficient?
ramair351 replied to puzzledeagle's topic in The Garage
if you are thinking of fuel mileage, try getting a spead bore carb, or a holley 390 with a black secondary spring -
have you already removed the shock towers? i havent done it, but a supercharged coyote would be awesome

Metal Dragon found under package tray from factory!
ramair351 replied to TeamPontiac79's topic in The Garage
those guys on the line barely had time to put all the parts in the right place on the car, much less sculpt something. i think its a fluke, but would make a cool avatar, and screen name "metal Dragon' . sounds like an 80's rock band
