does anyone know if the fuel pumps between FE and 385 series engines are interchangeable? I have a new aftermarket fuel pump marked 362, and i see listings saying it fits both engines.

I will try and make this as short as possible: i have had several 70-71 torinos for the past 20 years. I have been after this 429 super cobra jet that a freind had for a long time, because i wanted it to put into a torino. well last year i got out of torinos and bought this Mach1, i love the mach ! Now this guy decides he finally wants to sell this 429 and i buy it, but dont have a torino to put it in! So in steps another freind who has a 70 torino, and happens to have a true 69 428cj engine, and he offered up a trade. hard to find any real values on the net, but i am thinking they are worth a similar amount, and i could put a more 'correct' big block in my mustang after all.

i have a 429SCJ engine, pretty complete and running on a stand in my garage. a freind is willing to trade me a similarly complete, running 428CJ engine. the thought is i can use the FE in my 70 mach easier than the 429 engine. any opinions on this? or on what either engine is worth in dollars?

parts catalog says the same part number between boss 302 and 351 covers, C9ZZ-6582-C. so they fit both. they are NOS, i have the boxes, and they have not been bolted down. they are just very dusty and dirty from being stored in a body shop.

boss 302 covers have 8 bolt holes

i just stumbled on a set of NOS boss 302 valve covers. C9ZZ-6582-C. in storage since 1975. they have no casting number anywhere on them. does that sound right? any idea of a value of them? i might put them up for sale, but dont know how common they are.

what does it take to put a 460 in a 69-70 mustang? anyone here done it?

nice used FE distributor with a Crane XR-i points eliminating kit installed. the Crane has an adjustable rev limiter built in , its slick. casting # on dizzy shaft is D0ZF , but stamped number near top is D3TF. nice usable shape. $90 shipped
