Working with Chock O Stang. Looks like we got a bad Power Steering Pump from wholesaleparts.com. Ordered one of Chock O Stang. It was shipped out today. Will keep you all updated.

Pulleys are correct size. Has new power steering pump. Power Steering lines Bled.... It is an Automatic. Any more ideas???? Car still has hard steering at idle...................

cycled it as you suggested and helped tighten belt a little more. I think the idle is a little high, but haven't drove it anywhere yet....

I have an automatic 1969 Mustang Coupe with a new power steering pump. Having a hard time steering moving car around out of driveway. When you give the car some gas it is fine. Is this normal or should there be some adjustments made? Any suggestions appreciated. Sandie

Merry Christmas Mustang Friends..

My upholstery guy told me about this stuff. The rat rod guys use it in their cars. You get it any home improvement store. It is Reflectix insulation. Get a can of 3M adhesive to hold down. Put a double layer on floor. Rolls are 24" x 25' or 16" x 25'. Less than $20 per roll. Check it out at http://www.reflectixinc.com/basepage.asp?Page=Double+Reflective+Insulation&pageIndex=622

Is the data plate located inside the door? Mine is missing that is why I ordered a new one through Mardi. I hope it will the the same as the original did...

the title paper I was given when I bought the car from a guy. I have been telling my husband it is a mistake. Car is a hard top 302 2 barrel Coupe and it had a vinyl top. It is not a GT. SO I thought MGT must have some other meaning or the title is wrong?
-
The title has MGT for Model. Not sure what it means?? Think I am ok on the Vin, just wondered if Mardi was the best place to get info...
-
Any who, I sent for a deluxe Mardi Report and a door tag. Looking forward to getting it!!
-
My 1969 coupe appears to me to be nothing special. However, under model it says MGT. What does this mean. Also what is good sights to find into on your VIN #?

Buckeye Demon.... Yes, it wasn't originally painted. My painter painted it when he painted my car. Paint is coming off when latching hood. Are you saying I should be able to strip off the paint and bring it back to silver looking again??
-
Question #1 Anyone know where I can get a HOOD LATCH STRIKER CATCH. Can not find one for 1969 Mustang?? Mine was painted and all the paint is coming off. --------------------------------------------------------------- Question #2 Also, I am having a hard time opening the drivers door from the inside. I can not pull hard enough to get the door to open. Can this be adjusted? Has anyone else having a hard time??? :cursing: Thanks Sandie

Seats - To Rebuild or not to Rebuild

I had mine restored with new seat covers and had a little extra piping around the outside to break up all the black inside the car. Done by local upholstery shop.
