If the base came off a 351C then it should work, look for the part #470071, but if you have the mid-plate from a Torino, that will not work on the mustang, only the base, for the 351C it measures 18.83in dia and 6.25in high. Also there is a difference on the small blks, 351C is not the same as the 351W bases, Boss 302 are even more different. Hope this helps

you mentioned it happens on hot starts? sounds like you moved the timing to much, the slighest movement could impact it. Just for kicks, put the timing back where it was and try it. I assume you timed it with the vac line plugged.

Trav 450R Here is a site that carries a very good halagon kit for the 69s. I have a set and just love them. These are just as good as the HID and the price is very reasonable. Hey 1BAD351 yeah, you got the wrong fuse there, that 125v 3amp fuses are designed for things like christmas light strings, not 12v systems like our stangs. Good to hear you figured it out. Luckly that nothing happened with that thing in there.
