  3. Just make sure when you do paint the car prepping is the biggest thing. Make sure you use the correct amount of reducer, and hardner, I had to paint my own car several times because of that. Mixtures are very important. Also when you go to repaint the front end you may find that the rear of the car is going to be a different shade of the same color. You may find that respraying the whole car is your best bet.

  5. Yeah non ac car heat only. I have the color wiring diagrams. My blower has 2 wires under the hood near fire wall. I'm just confused about the one wire wether it be black or what ever color it is, that's suppose to get from the blower to the resistor. Everything else makes sense and know where it goes. Maybe I don't have this wire ? Or does it not even exist, but just boggles my mind that it shows it on the diagram.
  6. the only confusion i seem to be having right at the moment is, i have my connector that goes to the resistor and in my manual its showing me that theres suppose to be a black wire coming from the heater which i cant find. i know the heater is grounded and the orange ties into the stock harness under the dash. but where is this black wire that plugs into the resistor i guess to power the fan switch?
  7. Thanks that helps out alot! Quick question what is the resistor suppose to do? Does it just activate the different speeds?
  8. So today i took everything apart and low and behold I do not have the front cover that holds the heater core in. So there is no resistor. I found the pig tail from the wiring harness. Is there any way to jump out the connector to make sure the that everything else works?
  9. Thanks I'll have to check on that now I'm sure it's shot, haven't had heat in the car since I bought it 3 years ago. I'll test it out and see what happens.
  10. Im having this problem with the wiring to the blower for the heater, if I directly connect the blower to the battery it works fine but if you connect it to the stock wiring you get nothing. Not sure if it's bad connections at the plugs or what. Where should i start looking? Fuses are fine. Should I just run new wiring to the fan switch? Thanks -Joe
  11. Checked all the grounds. They are good. Checked all my distributor wires all intact. I'm gonna say its happening on engine hot starts.
  12. Yeah we fixed the timming only had to move it very slightly. I'm going to double check the grounds and connections to the msd coil pack. If that doesn't work I'll go and bench test the starter.
  13. I have Good vacuum. Checked it with my gauge.
  14. ok so i installed a new edelbrock carb/performer intake. now when i go to start i get a weak start like a stumble every once in a while. doesnt happen all the time. its almost struggling to start. any suggestions? we tuned the carb it seems to be running really well. only thing im not to happy with is the idle, its a little high. could it be that the starter is going bad? it wouldnt be a surprise since it is quite old. But i don't want to change it if it isn't bad.
