  1. There's a bracket that attaches the door to the pull cup on the door panel. I cannot seem to locate these, any ideas on where to get them or what they look like? Thanks.
  2. What I'm seeing mirrors what Pak is saying. Perhaps the reason for the foam is to keep the pieces from vibrating, keeping water out of the passenger compartment has nothing to do with it. Thanks for the input guys.
  3. That is my GT Fastback to the left, yes. My High School Mach 1 is to the right out of sight. Your car is really cool. When I was a freshman in high school there was a senior who had a blown 69 Fastback. It was it a magazine too, the name of the article was "Fine Whine", he had an airbrushed cobra on each fender. I have no idea where he got the money to do that but it was a really nice car. Probably why my garage is full of 69 Mustangs, I guess I owe him a debt of gratitude...so...Thanks Jay C.
  4. Thanks for the input, I agree no sealant on the bottom of the windshield. If I'm cruising down the road in the wind and rain, the water is being blown up the windshield and under the stainless. What is keeping it out of the passenger compartment. Ditto on the sides of the windshield. I'm not saying you guys are wrong it just doesn't make sense, unless I am over thinking it. BTW, check this out. I started it yesterday. I'm the bald nervous dude behind the wheel. http://s1102.photobucket.com/albums/g446/rockingcrazyk/?action=view&current=ITSTARTED1-29-11bmp.mp4
  5. Here it is. I am the nervous one behind the wheel, the other guy is the engine builder, Gary. http://s1102.photobucket.com/albums/g446/rockingcrazyk/?action=view&current=ITSTARTED1-29-11bmp.mp4
  6. We started it today, I tried to load the video but the file was too big. 14 megs. I'm not sure what to do to get it loaded.
  7. Any thoughts on how to seal the winshield stainless on my convertible? I see remnants of sealant on the 2 top pieces but nothing on the side pieces. Any thoughts on what to use and where to apply it would be appreciated. Thanks.
  8. Thanks for the kind words, it's my first build and I appreciate the encouragement. The color is represented well in the photo, it was called Calypso Coral in 1969, prior to that it was called Poppy Red.
  9. It's come a long way. Exhaust, alignment then the finishing touches.
  10. So how much can you get it for? If it's a true California car you need to buy it. As far as New Lime goes the color is very unique. My convertible was originally New Lime, I had never seen it nor could I get photos of it. I finally saw one at a car show and almost barfed, not because of the color but becasue I had just spent $10,000 on a Calypso Coral paint job and I really liked New Lime. Order a Marti report and buy the car.
  11. A quick follow up. The problen was the headlight switch, I tried 2 that I had in stock and they were both bad. I bought a new one for 70.00, it was nice because it was an actual Motorcraft switch not a piece of crap made in China hunk of crap.
  12. Did you put the side vents in? Those go first, ask me how I know. Don't forget to seal them. You can install the harness on the lower dash first then set it all in place. I will be curious to hear others opinions as well.
  13. I see your location is the USA, that really narrows it down as far as rust/salt is concerned. I'd say it's worth 10K. If you dump 10K into paint, 5K into the engine and 2500 into the interior you'll have a 20,000 car.
  14. Not sure what a tag light is but if it's there are you going to come pick the car up? Not only does it not have a radio mount it doesn't have a lower dash. It does have an 8" rear end and a great front clip though. The closest thing it has to a defroster duct is an 8" rear end and a great front clip, front spindles too.
  15. As I said in my original post almost everything is gone. The front clip is really nice, no rust in the seams, the only rust is around the battery. I have a crusher up the street who will take it but I'm sure it will do some good to someone. Just make it easy on me, figure out a way to get it if you want it. It doesn't roll, but I could put tires on the rear, steering column is gone.
  16. I'll have to check to see if they're good. Bring your trailer and it's all yours, I have a tractor that we can load it with. It's on a dolly now, I need to keep the dolly.
  17. No. The person I bought it from couldn't find but knew she had it somewhere and was going to blah blah blah.
  18. Drip rail- did not use Rocker molding- removed from the car, not sure if I am going to keep them or not. Rear window moldings- Still installed.
  19. I have used most of the parts, still has the 8" rear end and front spindles. It's a V8 car and has an amazing front clip, it's in great condition. Located in Western Washington, Everett area.
  20. My hat's off to you. You are bringing that car back from the dead..."Project FB Resurrection"
  21. 1-13-2010- Here's a quick follow up. I now have the fan motor powered up and almost everything put back together. The modified diverter sends plenty of air to the defrost, the amount of air not being diverted is minimal. I beleive this is a good fix. I will post one additional follow up after I have to actually put the defroster to use, hopefully in the next few months.
  22. Greetings. Congrats on your car, might I say you made an excellent choice. We have a town here in Washington State called Walla Walla, I think I like the sound of your Wagga Wagga better.
