Swampgravy 0 Report post Posted January 30, 2018 I have a 69 Mustang with a V8. I just got this a week ago and don't know too much about it. This is my first Mustang. The dash lights do not work when pulling out the knob. I took the cluster out and checked all the bulbs and cleaned the connections. I traced down the circuit on the back of the circuit board and applied power to the correct circuit and the lights power up with it grounded with a power probe. I replaced the light switch.what color wire gives power/ground to the cluster? The gauges don't work also. I did look at the wiring schematic in the "HOW TO'S" and it doesn't have a wire color. Any help would be greatly appreciated. There is a LT blue/red wire that had been cut and butt connected back together. I am trying to fix this mess. Mach1 Driver 560 Report post Posted January 30, 2018 Schematics are used to understand the circuit and aren't cluttered with information that isn't necessary to do so. A wire diagram will tell you wire colors and plugs and where to connect a wire. Those abound on the web.
