Tail light trim bezel ring

Polishing my rear tail light lenses, now I'm challenged with reattaching the bezel trim rings. Anybody have any suggestions on what to use? Original glue appears to be black and non hardening

Anybody ever used Sugru flexible glue?

I would think the ATV silicone sealent or 3M weather strip adhesive would be just fine ? The 3M is what I used to attach the vertical stainless steel weatherstrip moldings at the side windows. Brian

I cant remember for sure what glue I used but purchased it locally. Before I purchased I telephoned Daniel Carpenter who reproduces the lens and asked them what glue they used to attached the stainless trim and purchased the glue they recommended.

Found this, installed it last night, no mess, holding tight this pm. Used plastic polish/restore on a buffer wheel

It don't take much to hold them on really...you could even use some clear RTV on them and be ok
