LiLMike 42 Report post Posted December 14, 2015 I thought about upgrading my power steering pump. I don't want to do the Borgeson swap. just wanted a better pump that I could bolt on. I have seen some pretty nice pumps on Summit Racing but they really don't specify if you need to change anything else to use them. Here is one that I saw that looks interesting but a little pricy. How to I know if something like this will work on my car. It is a stock power steering car with the original P/S pump. http://m.summitracing.com/parts/mch-9600
machm1970 180 Report post Posted December 15, 2015 What's wrong with a factory style pump? Are you just looking for something that has more bling appeal? For something like that you'd probably want the other March pulleys to match. Nice look, but pricey.
LiLMike 42 Report post Posted December 15, 2015 I was trying to save on space. I know the one listed is a little large. It's just getting crowded in there plus I'm thinking of going with a hydrotech brake system and not sure if the pressure from the stock pump will be enough. JayEstes 173 Report post Posted December 15, 2015 Mine's been giving me some headaches. I'm still trying to verify it's the pump and not something else, but I was looking at this unit to replace the original: http://www.rockauto.com/catalog/moreinfo.php?pk=5755947&cc=1132670&jnid=493&jpid=9 That's low cost compared to the other you mention, but is a straight stock look, not sure that is where you were going....
