barnett468 418 Report post Posted December 21, 2014 Finally located a NOS rim blow switch! Is there a way to test them to be sure it is good before going thru the trouble to install it? lay it flat connect the tester to the ends and it should have no continuity press the rubber like you are honking the horn and it should have continuity. you can spray a little soapy water on it and the wheel to ease installation. . Raven R code 281 Report post Posted January 6, 2015 haven't installed yet. My wheel has no cracks and most of the original woodgrain (about 90%) is there too.....but I think I'm going to send it out to get redone. The outer chrome band is yellowing and cracking too. Raven R code 281 Report post Posted January 17, 2015 I did a continuity test on the switch and all seems good! Phew! Was worried about nos being too old and not fresh(rubber).

Raven R code 281 Report post Posted January 17, 2015 Wire harness and lower dash are out of the car at the moment. What are you thinking?
Brian Conway 264 Report post Posted January 17, 2015 Wire harness and lower dash are out of the car at the moment. What are you thinking? Really quite simple but if you have no horns or harness to test the switch the request is pointless. When I received my new Scott Drake switch's, they passed the continuity test but failed the live wire test. Before actually installing I touched the switch leads to the steering wheel horn contacts the horns honked continuously. Brian
