frame rail to torque box gussets ?

Hi all, I have noticed that some mustangs have the front frame rail to torque box gussets and was wondering if they were used on the 70 convertibles for structural reasons or if they were only used if you had a big block engine.

I believe from 67 onward when both front torque box's were added, so was the front frame rail gusset

Thanks for the quick replies. I have order both sides as my convertible had neither of them.

I came across similar information to Wyked69. Somewhere about half way through production in 67, these braces showed up on one side of the car and by sometime in 68, they were on both sides and carried through all models through 70 (at least). Good addition either way.
