MustangChuck 16 Report post Posted November 12, 2013 By "boss tower reinforcement plates", do you mean like the one in the attached photo? You can buy them from fwsanco on fleaBay for about $33. I plan to purchase mine from him. Search for "67 68 69 70 Mustang Shock Tower Brace Boss 302 Mod". Definitely easier than trying to fab one and not terribly expensive. Because my front end is pristine, using a Monte Carlo bar and export brace, subframe connectors, convertible inner rockers and one piece seat riser, it would be plenty stiff for street use.
