Mr.CNC 10 Report post Posted June 4, 2013 stealth intake, MII suspension I have it as close to the cross member and rack as I can but it still sites up high. I might be able to get a drop base air breather to clear the scoop. I have a nice 750 dominator that I wanted to run and with the adapter it hits by about 1/2" or more. I am not into that big scoop on a coupe. I was thinking about it very hard but just not digging it. Thanks fordguy69
1969vert 55 Report post Posted June 4, 2013 (edited) I had a 4 1/2 cowl scoop before the nine scoop...cleared 351w vr jr.2" spacer and nitrous plate and had room for a air filter A pic was added below of the scoop Edited June 7, 2013 by 1969vert
Mr.CNC 10 Report post Posted June 7, 2013 Do you have any pictures of the 4 1/2 cowl on your car?

Thanks fordguy69 You probably already know this, but the Eddy RPM Air Gap is about 1/2" shorter than the Stealth. And some of the guys on 460ford.com have been very successful running ported Torker 2's on the street and it is way shorter than either the RPM or the Stealth. I am going to switch to the Air Gap when I change heads, to pick up some room and because according to those in the know, with some very minor porting, the Air Gap makes big power and better street torque than the Stealth in the lower street type RPM's. Mr.CNC 10 Report post Posted June 7, 2013 I am going to pick up a performer or maybe a torker II. I do like the looks of a cowl hood on the 69. Trying to find one on a coupe before I lay down the coin on a hood. I glassed cowl scoops on before but with the way our hoods are up front I don't want to mess with it. Superduty69. Sweet car! Mr.CNC 10 Report post Posted July 20, 2013 So I have changed directions and going with a V10 6.8 and EFI. Engine is still large and tall. But now It looks like a cowl will be needed to clear throttle body and cold air tubes. Anyone put a universal cowl scoop on a 69? How about anyone with a 4" or anyone making a 4" out there??
