a c6 takes way to much hp to run I have been running a powerglide would like to have that extra gear

You're getting close to the limits there, but PA does guaranty theirs to 1000 HP. I have the PA Supercomp, and I'm probably making somewhere around 100 HP less when spraying it, and I've made a lot of passes. Torque may be the different though. Nitrous makes a bunch of torque, but so does a blown big block. Lol

for a big block? hrm... that seems kinda iffy. I have PA's "street Fighter" which it can take up to 450hp but its behind a SBF 392 stroker.

Believe your tranny guy. A C4 can take a lot, depending on which mods are done to it. Greg Cook on CooksGarage.com has a PA C4 behind a 545 big block in a heavy 63 Galaxie. It runs 9's in the 1/4 w/o issues.
