Lokar Throttle Cable Bracket

Has anyone installed the Lokar Throttle Cable Bracket (4001) using the stock Ford cable. The Lokar Bracket has a round 5/16" hole and the stock cable is square where it would go into the stock bracket. Does it work to round out the stock throttle cable to accommodate the round hole in the Lokar Bracket?

I came upon that same dilemma and opted for the matching Lokar cables (AOD and throttle). You cant make the OEM Ford throttle bracket work?

Could you use a file on the round hole to make it square, or would the square hole then be too big for the stock cable?
