New fastback roof panels discontinued?

Went to the local NPD store this weekend to purchase a new replacement fastback roof skin for my 70 and was a bit shocked to hear the counterman say that the 69-70 fastback roof panel was "temporarily discontinued". This was apparently made by Golden Legion for just about everybody.

 

Anyone else have the same experience? Any idea what's going on?

Yeah, the cars are 43 years old and I'm sure it's not a fast mover or highly called for part. Check out Dynacorn and see if they have the panel since they are making new shells. B

I would have to agree, but according to the jungle telegraph, Golden Legion supplies Dynacorn the same part! I wonder if the "temporary" part of the description is a good sign or a bad one?

I wonder if there were fitment issues in which they are adjusting their tooling? Maybe there was a supplier issue too.
