parking brake adjustment procedure

on my 69 mach, the ebrake pedal goes all the way to the floor before it will hold the car.

 

where are the adjustment points for the cables?

The cable that goes through the TQ box has an adjustment nut where the cable attaches. How much adjustment I do not know off the top of my head.

 

Update: Found an example on ebay. Has quite a bit of adjustment:

First make sure the rear brakes are adjusted properly and test parking brake.

If the parking brake does not hold the car at half petal applied, With the parking brake off,Tighten the cable adjusting nut removing the slack 1/2 inch at a time till it does.

Looking at the undercarraige pics that jmlay posted, my front cable that starts from the pedal and comes through the drivers side torque box doesn't have that long compressed spring on that threaded adjustment rod. Is that a key piece to my problem?

No that springs job is to pull the cable back out upon release of the parking brake pedal allowing the cable to the rear brakes to slacken releasing the shoes from the drums.
