Lou_the_coupe 10 Report post Posted March 11, 2012 I am new to restorations, and a college student, so this may take a long time to make progress on this car. After waiting a classic 'stang since I was a kid, Im just happy to have it. As a beginner I welcome comments and tips to help me along. http://www.keltucky.com/69coupe.html
70mstang 11 Report post Posted March 12, 2012 Great to see another Mustang getting restored! Figure out what you want to do with the car and devise a plan of attack. Take LOTS of pics during the tear down with many different angles.

Mike65 476 Report post Posted March 13, 2012 Congrats on the 69 Coupe. Yours looked like mine did 10 years ago when I got mine. My Coupe was being used as a parts car when I rescued it.
Lou_the_coupe 10 Report post Posted March 13, 2012 This one was a parts car as well. The guy I got it from had thought about crushing it. Luckily for me he decided against it and put it on ebay. Im collectuing parts right now and have been lucky enough to find good deals. I got a 302 engine with a c-6 transmission attached for $80, a bumper, brackets and bumper guards for $50, and a drivers side window for $20.

I have a newer 302 that is a roller cam motor that I want to build into a stroker & I have a 5 spd trans from a late 80's Mustang, & a 9" rear. I want to build it as a street cruiser to take to shows & cruise events here at the beach in the summer time. Mike.
Lou_the_coupe 10 Report post Posted March 15, 2012 my 302 is out of an 1980's truck I think. it was an efi that was converted to a carb engine. Anyway I have a lot to learn!
Mike65 476 Report post Posted March 15, 2012 My 302 came out of an 87 LTD C/V that was EFI.
