Daves69Coupe 10 Report post Posted July 6, 2010 I just finished installing the driveshaft in my car when my dad pointed out that the axles were spinning without the driveshaft spinning so i spun the driveshaft by hand and the axles moved normally. maxum96 32 Report post Posted July 7, 2010 If you have an "open" differential (non-posi, non-locking, etc), then it is normal to be able to spin the wheels without the driveshaft moving. One wheel will move forward and one backwards. Quote Share this post Link to post Share on other sites
