Where in the world is the etched VIN # on my car?

Hi all,

I got my buck tag, door tag and windshield tag but here in Italy, the DMV wants to see the stamped VIN # on the chassis of the car. I have a 69 mustang conv made in Metuchen, New Jersey.....WHERE IS IT!?!?!??!?!?. Thank you all!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

I don't have a Vert, signorc. I have a SportsRoof. Here's a pic showing where my Vin is stamped. Hope it helps.

I have a dearborn convertible, I didn't find mine until I removed the passenger side fender. It was stamped on the shock tower section of the apron.

mine is a dearborn car also. it's stamped on the top of both shock towers and the fenders will cover it up. here is the passenger side shock tower and battery apron.

You have to at the least pull the fender back on either side to see the numbers. If the car is clean in the wheel wells you can see the inverse stamping from the bottom.

Tearing apart the 70 Vert I bought, I remembered this thread and snapped a pick of a tag, hung by a single screw, located in an odd spot. This is a one owner car and was pretty unmodifed save the rust and dents.
