EastYorkStang 63 Report post Posted July 28, 2009 Does anyone have pictures of how the air cleaner base of the shaker is set up? I have the oil fill cap on the drivers side that twists but it's not connected to the air cleaner. Or can someone point me in the right direction? Thanks
Fordrevhead 29 Report post Posted July 29, 2009 which shaker base are we talking about? this is a 351W shaker base, plastic elbow, rubber hose. If it's a 428 try here: http://www.428cobrajet.org/id-air-cleaner-70R.html
EastYorkStang 63 Report post Posted July 29, 2009 That is what I have but what attaches the hose to the air cleaner?
Fordrevhead 29 Report post Posted July 29, 2009 I dont have a photo but as I recall there's a rubber grommet, then a plastic elbow that the hose pushes onto. This may help for other vacuum lines as well.
xplane 10 Report post Posted July 30, 2009 (edited) 1970 diagram of the 351W shaker assy. I assume the fitting on the side/back of the base assy? Edited July 30, 2009 by xplane
Fordrevhead 29 Report post Posted July 31, 2009 that diagram is a weird view, as if from the passenger roof... the exact opposite side as the item in question.
