bluoval 11 Report post Posted May 28, 2009 I am interested in putting newer wheels/tires (specifically FR 500 style) on a '69 fastback. Does anyone have any advice/experience getting 18x9's to work? Thanks much for any help!

bluoval 11 Report post Posted May 30, 2009 Thanks Pak. Any idea what the 'pre-printed wheel chart' is (far right column)? I'll check with dodgestang as well. one last peak....very nice!

Thanks much for any help! 18x9 will work in the back. my rims have offset 7 http://www.1969stang.com/mustang/forum/showpost.php?p=48657&postcount=10 higher offsets might work with a spacer. I think you mean pre-published meaning that this info came from another source like a magazine or a supplier and not one that was obtained and verified by an individual user who just put this set up on his own car. bnickel 10,004 Report post Posted June 4, 2009 here is another chart that might help that chart is so old and outdated it's not even funny. under the 15x8 for 69/70 it says that 235/60-15 is the largest you can use, i've had 275/50-15s on the back with only a little rolling of the lip. i also know of many people who have used 275/60-15's with no rolling of the lip or any other work at all. i also know that a 245/60 or 255/60 will fit with no rubbing or fender lip mods too
