70Mach03 12 Report post Posted November 19, 2008 What I did was remove the shoe strings from my tennis shoes, tie them together and run the string from the throttle, out the back of the hood and in the drivers side window. Wasn't very easy with clutch, but it was enough to limp home about three miles. Took me nearly a week to find a new throttle linkage for a 1970 Mustang as it's different from a 1969.
