New AutoMeter Guage - Will They fit?

Recommended Posts

Hmm.. interesting approach. I haven't seen those yet.

I've looked at replacing the speedo and tach with aftermarkets, putting fuel and oil in the dash and then temp, volts, and an O2 sensor in a A piller pod. This puts it all together.

Here is the spill for doing a cluster conversion;

well they are 5 inch so they should fit...but i gotta ask....why?

I'm with B - why? They are butt ugly. Would be better suited in a tuner - which by the way is the ultimate insult for a car.

The Autometer Phantom series on the other hand - bad ass and sweet!

I agree that the Phantom series are sweet and I have them in my other project in the picture below. I just like the idea of the guages above that they are all in type. No need for additional guage pods. And yes they are kinda ricey look.

Have to agree on not needing additional pods. I have the pod tray in my console in place of the front ashtray but am replacing my console so I need to make something new. I have an idea that I will share once I mock it up.

The JME approach is sweet but very pricey.... I believe you can buy an aftermarket instrument panel that has additional gauge pods and mount more gauges into the dash. Jegs has it I believe.

What car is the picture out of? Strange angles but looks great...

That's a 1969 El Camino. The angle is tilted down a few degrees. It's was a given by a friend free prototype billet aluminum and the angle has been corrected since then.

I just search their catalog and no quads in the Phantom series.
