69stang

Hey

Recommended Posts

Ok well, i finally gave up on the putting a suped up 8 in the mustang, im not saying it wont happen some time down the road but not yet. I started thinking about it and decided it wouldn't feel like "my car" anymore, cause i would change almost everything out.

So, I have decided to make the most of the 6, i have heard quite a few people talk about making the 6 a better performer but I am not quite sure where to start. I also plan on putting a new rear and 5 lug rims on because i figure its safer to be on disk brakes and i lost another hubcap and at 70 dollars a piece, i figure it will actually be cheaper in the long run heh.

So now the question is what exactly do i do to make it perform as well as possible. Remember its starting as a 1969 Coupe 200 c.i. 4 on the floor, low rear.

Thanks in advance

Well I can't tell you exactly what to do but I can say it has been done and point you in the right direction. Check out sites like:

And just as a little something to wet your appetite and make you drool, take a listen to this and compare to your stock sound.

Sounds good for a little 6er. The guy needs to get his years right on the car if he is wanting to advertise it. He said that it's a 67 mustang LOL

Yeah but he's a chevy guy to, what does he know, except how to build motors that is. If he tried to put the dizzy in the back then I'd be worried but mis-ID'ing the year of a Mustang wouldn't stop me from letting him build mine I don't think.

next you guys watch it, watch the door as he closes it from lookin in the interior, one, the door seal doesnt match the quarter window, and 2 it shakes like it aint even in the regulator roght. just some stuff i noticed, besides the way to obvious mis-ID of a fairly nice 69 Vert.

Yep noticed that also. I guess it's all in how much you want to do. I doubt a speed shop can do it all. At least doing it yourself personalizes it.

BTW: that 69 vert is the exact car I owned. 1st car I ever owned. Got it from grandma. 200cid, ps, am radio. Pale yellow with a black top and interior. What a great car to own as a teenager in Florida.
